Design Contests
encourage participation by secondary students in elementary, middle and
high school. We believe improving the image of Georgia manufacturing
begins with education. We want students to know that manufacturers
provide jobs for engineers, scientists, advertisers and many others in
our state.
We
hope that by sponsoring three contests — one at the elementary, middle
and high school levels — area children will research information on
manufacturing and learn that a career in manufacturing can be so much
more than assembly line work.
Contests
include:
High
School: T-shirt design
Middle
School: Poster design
Elementary:
Placemat design
Award
winners received scholarships in the amount of $500 for first
place, $300 for second place, $100 for third place in each of the three
design categories.
